Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Understand the array of technology products and solutions available for banking team. Develop and execute training plans based on needs assessment and knowledge gaps.  Deliver internally developed training sessions to broad based staff.  Work with internal and external sources to customize materials and ensure successful delivery of training content. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with business and banking technology director to identify IT training needs 
  • Lead training efforts across multiple disciplines within the IT space for Investment Banking
  • Create and curate training materials with help from different internal IT subject matter experts and/or external vendors
  • Deliver training courses and demonstrations through various channels such as classroom, one on one, on-line, written, virtual, LMS etc.
  • Effectively communicate and explain the value proposition of technology tools to the banking team, i.e. what is in it for them?
  • Produce training schedules and classroom agenda
  • Determine course content according to objectives
  • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)
  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs
  • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
  • Work closely with HR training leader to maintain consistency and eliminate overlap of training efforts


  • Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree valued
  • 6+ years of experience as a training program leader for IT company or technical solutions company (Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Bloomberg, FactSet etc.)
  • Pre-sales engineer or Sales engineer experience highly valued
  • Financial services industry experience is preferred, Investment Banking experience highly valued
  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Persuasive communication skills- ability to clearly articulate the value proposition of technology to investment banking team
  • A patient and friendly approach to teaching
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
  • Experience in designing technical course content
  • Demonstrates initiative and persistence – is self-motivated, thrives in high pressure environment
