Job Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Senior Management in the Investment Management Division to develop, implement, and manage innovative talent acquisition strategies. Collaborate with Senior Management to understand needs / gaps and develop appropriate talent acquisition strategies and plans to address. Deliver regular reports to Senior Management focused around key talent acquisition metrics (i.e. position openings, time to fill, quality of hire, source analysis, client satisfaction, etc.)
  • Develop sourcing strategies and talent acquisition processes in partnership with Hiring Managers. Provide status updates to Hiring Managers and other stakeholders on open searches and other talent acquisition activities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates, especially for executive level and niche skill sets.  Build and maintain relationships with potential employees and potential sources of referrals so that there are proven, high quality employment channels from which the firm can choose to recruit to meet its employment and employer branding objectives.
  • Participate in screening of candidates, including resume screening and interviewing (phone, video, or in-person).  Provide candidate summaries and make recommendations on candidates as to qualification for openings.
  • Manage relationships with external search firms.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout hiring process. Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Participate in other director and executive level recruiting for other departments as needed. 
  • Participates in other projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a talent acquisition function within a financial services firm and/or a search / placement firm with a specialization in financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Knowledge of the asset management industry
  • Ability to deliver a best-in-class recruitment strategy to attract critical talent to support the needs of a global asset management firm
  • Ability to implement consistent and effective hiring practices (e.g., interview practices, assessments, selection process, etc.) to improve quality of hire
  • Ability to develop trusted working relationships with senior management as a result of delivering quality hires, competitive market knowledge, optimizing sourcing channels and continual evolution of recruiting strategies
  • Ability to translate business goals and strategies into clear objectives for recruiting
  • Outstanding communication, problem solving, project management, and client service skills
  • Promote diversity efforts and ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and guidelines with respect to talent acquisition
  • Experience sourcing and networking for executive level positions
  • In-depth knowledge of the different recruiting methods and experience leveraging talent acquisition technologies, including social networking
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to act with a sense of urgency and who thrives on challenge, growth, and change in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and proven team player
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of managers and employees
