Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Assist in executing PWM Middle Office daily workflows related to new client accounts to be followed with eventual cross training to serve as a backup for trade support, cashiering, client accounting, reporting and billing.  Review documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and procedures.  Interface with Front Office and Middle Office team members to provide client support and resolve inquiries and issues.  Train employees on new or modified policies and system enhancements.  Identify possible improvements in workflow processing and reporting templates.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Working under general supervision, perform basic and more complex operations transactions and tasks in assigned functional Operations areas, including all aspects of new account set-up. Identify and resolve most problems in a timely manner following established guidelines. 
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Middle Office processes and systems and William Blair products and services.
  • Identify common issues in daily processing logs and work queues; audit operations activities to ensure correct processing.
  • Interface with Front Office staff and other Middle Office team members to provide client support and resolve inquiries and issues.  Promptly resolve customer questions and ensure maximum client satisfaction.  Escalate issues that cannot be immediately resolved.
  • Document updated policies and maintain the required document checklist.
  • Train employees on new or modified policies and procedures and system enhancements.
  • Assist in continuous improvement by identifying possible enhancements to workflow processing and reporting templates.
  • Perform specific project requests identified by team leads and management.
  • Ensure Middle Office workflow activities follow established risk controls and are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.


  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance preferred
  • Series 7 and 66 preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a financial services operations environment required
  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
