Job Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain research relationships with investment managers, industry contacts, and research vendors with a focus on Private Alternative Investments (Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Private Real Estate, Private Credit, etc). Participate in industry-related conferences and events. 

  • Generate research and collaborate with team to disseminate relevant manager performance information, market commentary, and portfolio activity to advisors on a regular basis. Provide insight into research needs to effectively meet client needs and remain competitive with market trends

  • Participating in client and prospect meetings to articulate the investment process and value proposition and facilitate discussions on investment consulting (IPS, strategy, etc), asset allocation, investment managers, and other pertinent topics.

  • Participate in other projects as requested by management and other team members. 


  • Thorough understanding of financial products and securities industry, especially Alternative Investments
  • 7-10+ years directly related investment consulting, HNW advisory, or Family Office experience in a senior role
  • Dedicated Hedge Fund and Private Equity Funds research experience(inclusive of Private Equity, Private Credit, and  Private Real Estate funds).
    • Ability to source, conduct due diligence/underwrite, monitor, communicate
    • Manage regular calls, meetings, onsites with management; also meet with key external clients and internal wealth management teams
    • Coordinate with third party programs, CAIS, and iCapital
  • Proficient in MS Office and performance analytics software
  • CAIA, CFA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Series 7 and 65 licenses required or must be obtained within three months
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment products, portfolio construction, securities operations, and the servicing requirements of specific clients
  • Strong analytical and presentations skills
  • Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others
  • Detail oriented to ensure that high standards are met or exceeded
  • Proficient in Morningstar Direct, FActSet, and other industry research databases and programs
