Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop content strategies that support and amplify existing corporate content, as well as to develop and map new content programs that directly support the goals of the firm and individual business lines. The supporting tactics will result in increasing our brand awareness, driving traffic to our digital properties, generating leads, and enhancing the overall perception of our firm across digital channels. This individual will help define and drive our content program and create original thought leadership across multiple platforms and formats, including our corporate website, blogs, social media post and more.
  • Manage marketing/editorial calendar.
  • Assign editorial projects to internal and external writers.
  • Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
  • Proofread and edit written pieces before publication.
  • Provide editorial guidance on social media distribution.
  • Conduct keyword and SEO research to understand customers’ needs and map content plans accordingly.
  • Monitor web traffic and engagement.
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to visually bring articles to life.
  • Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics.
  • Review and update published content as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Digital Strategist or similar role.
  • A portfolio of published articles/content elements.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like WordPress.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing.
  • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner).
  • Experience using social media for business.
  • Solid writing and editing skills.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Ability to guide and motivate team members.
