Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Marketing Associate to join our team in London to cover the European region.  This is a new role in the region. 

This role will work with the European marketing team on a variety of tasks, including and not limited to:  Assisting in developing and delivering business line Investment Banking (IB) marketing and communication content, e-mails and campaigns to increase client engagement, elevate the global and European Investment Banking brand and drive business results. 

Supporting the execution of marketing project activities including e-mails, social media and events, both in-person and virtual. The role will involve liaising with local and global teams within Brand Marketing and Communications (BMC) building, testing, and sending client-facing emails via Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and analyzing engagement data. In addition, the role will also be involved in social media execution, analysis and monitoring. There will be strong focus on monitoring and reporting on performance metrics to evaluate campaigns, e-mails, social media and event effectiveness, as well as ensuring the quality and accuracy of marketing and communication deliverables.

As there will be a large digital marketing element to the role, strong digital skills and mindset is key, in addition to strong writing and project management skills. 
  • Assist in executing business line marketing and communication projects, including ongoing and intermittent activities.  Collaborate and coordinate efforts with the European marketing team and the broader BMC team in areas of content, digital (including e-mail and social media), corporate marketing, visual design, communications, events, PR and philanthropy.
  • Develop an understanding of business line strategies, clients, target audiences, products and services, ensuring alignment with firm brand and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with European marketing team to build, distribute, and analyze all email marketing communications and campaigns for a European audience.
  • Build campaign web pages and/or event registration sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with IB European Salesforce team to streamline campaign process, ensure clean data, and identify opportunities for personalization.
  • Track performance of triggered email campaigns, analyze data to determine areas of improvement, and distribute to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the broader BMC team to maintain firmwide digital and brand standards. 
  • Work with the European marketing team, as well as broader BMC members globally to execute social media strategy, analysis and monitoring.
  • Assist in the execution and development of IB marketing and communication content and campaigns.  Utilize WRIKE project management tool to document plans and project assignments.  Obtain necessary approvals for project approach and resources.
  • Regularly monitor established performance metrics to track campaign effectiveness.  Analyze trends and create reports to communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that marketing and communication deliverables are consistent with quality and applicable compliance standard and that all activities are in compliance with local rules, regulations, policies and procedures including staying up-to-date on email best practices and any new GDPR updates/changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing and communications in Europe required; financial services or professional services industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Adobe Suite, Litmus, Power BI, Cvent, HTML, Hootsuite preferred
  • Experience using ESP tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred) – or keen desire to learn, email deliverability best practices, and CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Relevant email marketing experience: including html and responsive design
  • Exposure to training, testing, and executing virtual events; preferably experience with Zoom
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing, especially LinkedIn (posting, scheduling, analytics, Hootsuite) preferred
