Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Associate, Investment Banking Marketing’s primary responsibility will be to plan, develop and deliver business line IB marketing and communication content and campaigns to increase client engagement, advance the business’ brand and drive business results.  Develop a detailed understanding of business line marketing needs and requests.  Coordinate and execute marketing project activities.  Document and organize client information and marketing collateral.  Monitor and report on performance metrics to evaluate campaign and event effectiveness.  Ensure quality and accuracy of marketing and communication deliverables.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Develop an understanding of business line strategies, clients, products and services.  
  • Clarify marketing, communication and identify target audiences.  
  • Ensure alignment with firm brand and marketing objectives.
  • Assist in the planning and prioritization of business line IB marketing and communication content and campaigns.  Utilize WRIKE project management tool to document plans and project assignments.  Obtain necessary approvals for project approach and resources.
  • Execute business line marketing and communication projects, including ongoing and intermittent activities. Collaborate and coordinate efforts with the BMC team in areas of content, corporate marketing, visual design, communications, digital, events, PR and philanthropy.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impede project success.
  • Ensure that marketing and communication deliverables are consistent with quality and applicable compliance standards.
  • Regularly monitor established performance metrics to track campaign effectiveness.  Analyze trends and create reports to communicate issues to management.
  • Research latest marketing and communication trends, best practices and emerging financial industry issues as they relate to the business line.  Introduce potential ways the business line can enhance marketing and communication effectiveness.
  • Assist with training business line users on marketing tools and resources.  Serve as the initial point of contact for marketing and communication issues.  Escalate questions and issues when warranted.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in marketing and communications required; financial services industry experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to develop creative marketing solutions to drive business results and client engagement
  • Advanced project management and prioritization skills, including project management tools and techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence others across multiple functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop creative ideas to support the marketing needs of the business
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing best practices
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Positive and collaborative work style
  • Self-starter
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office
